Mobile Video Production

Do you know that you have most of the equipment you need to create professional quality media in your pocket right now? Your smartphone + MNN’s audio, lighting and stabilization equipment = professionally created media. This four-session certification course will teach you how to use your personal smartphone with MNN’s audio, lighting and stabilization equipment. This course will also discuss the basics of storytelling, interviewing and composition and media management.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to reserve Manhattan Neighborhood Network’s on-location, smartphone-specific video equipment packages that are designed to be used with your smartphone to make high-quality media.

Prerequisites for Mobile Video Production:

• Attend MNN General Orientation
• Submit current proof of Manhattan Residency and Identification

Please note: Your smartphone must be capable of shooting high definition video with a resolution of at least 1920x1080. Most recently manufactured smartphones will successfully meet these technical standards. To successfully complete this course, you will need at least 8GB of storage reserved for media storage.
