Youth Media Center Application

The Youth Media Center is housed at the MNN El Barrio Firehouse Community Media Center. Located at 175 East 104th Street, it is dedicated to developing 21st Century communicators and engaged community leaders. It offers classes, internships, and other opportunities to Manhattan residents ages 14-24 years old.

The Youth Media Center offers a variety of classes and internships for aspiring media makers to produce critical content in a rapidly changing media landscape. Youth producers learn the fundamental skills of story development, framing, and composition, camera and equipment operation, and basic editing. Upon successful completion of certification trainings youth producers gain access to editing labs, camera, and studio equipment to produce independent projects for broadcast on MNN's Channel.
