Host Khalil A. Cumberbatch interviews William Evans, founder and President of Neighborhood Benches a non-profit organization designed to help young adults and leaders achieve positive changes in communities where capacity building, community service and restorative justice practices are needed.
According to the National Reentry Resource Center, approximately 9 million people will be released annually from jails across the country. Once released, they face systemic and individual barriers that impede their ability to attain a successful reentry. Many advocates across the country are pushing for an investment into communities through a myriad of initiatives and campaigns that address the lack of resources needed to survive post incarceration.
