Duration: This bootcamp meets twice a week for four weeks.
Ready to be the talent and producer? Learn how to produce a compelling television show in a professional studio environment. This bootcamp teaches students how to develop an idea for a TV show, utilize basic studio production equipment and edit using Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Each student will produce a segment for a TV show while providing feedback and technical support for other students.
Students enrolling in this course will act as the producer and talent for their productions. Students should have a pre-existing idea of their TV show topic. All students will walk away with an edited project.
Upon successful completion of the bootcamp, students will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to join the Manhattan Mediamaker’s Collective. Projects completed during this course may air on MNN’s channels, social and digital platforms at MNN’s discretion.
Bootcamp includes:
- Guided instruction from a media professional
- Digital handouts and activity materials
- Access to production equipment
- One-on-one out of class support from MNN staff
Bootcamp Requirements:
- Basic Mac computer skills
- Students must supply their own headphones and hard drive
- Students may be required to complete out-of-class work and attend additional lab sessions upon the completion of the course
