The Connie Awards are An Improv Award Show - “you give - you play - you get”
Loosely based upon the Antoinette Perry Award for excellence in Broadway theatre, commonly known as the Tony Award; The Connie Award (named for me, Connie Perry) seeks to recognize excellence in live improvisational theatre and comedy. At The Connies, the whole show is improvised by talented New York City based players. The intent is to create an entertaining structure for improv and bestow accolades. Ultimately everyone who participates may have a chance to give an award and/or to play out "nominated scenes"and/or will get an award.
