Built upon the existing playground that was built in Central Park in the 1930's, This was one of 20 playgrounds built by Robert Moses within the Park. Flash Forward to 30 years later, the playground was redesigned with an emphasis on play. Some call it brutalist and some say it's modern. However you want to describe it, it is a landmark playground that is, at the time of writing this, almost 57 years old.
