This full-length documentary highlights the work of Pura Belpre, a transformative children's librarian, puppeteer, and storyteller who worked, at various times, at four of Harlem's public library branches. Building on past efforts to raise awareness about Pura. The purpose of this piece is to galvanize support for commissioning a statue in her honor somewhere in East Harlem, possibly on 110th street in front of the Aguilar Library.
